Do you think travelling is only for the ones who do have money?

Some people say that even the person who do not have a lot of money can travel and know many places domestically or internationally it may be right in some way but not entirely. I mean you always will spend money and more than you have, money is money and you need money for everything. If you dont have money simply you can't afford to travel plain and simple, nothing is for free, unless you are invited for free by friends or relatives or your workplace but in this case you dont spend anything on your own, the money is on others, not yours, but at the end you see money is money.

I mean I wish I could know many cities in my countries or visit other countries or my mom gets to know them as well, but we can't do it cause we can't afford it.

I wish I can go out on vacations with my friends to places as well, but simply I dont have enough money to go on vacations for many days and spend time on vacations.

Because I dont have enough money to spend or lets say my mom either, I barely know my own country and see their beautiful cities, places, etc, the same applies to other countries.

I see on social media friends or acquatiances who post photos and photos of the cities or countries they visit each time and I mean one friend or relative could post photos several times a year of the differnet places they go on vacations with their respective families or other friends, So I ask she must have money then cause she gets out and travel often. A friend can post like 5 times a year of the different cities or countries she goes out on vacations often. I mean travel requires money (lodging, car rental (if you rent a car),, plane tickets, tickets to attractions, food, shopping, and other type of fees and even if you try to save money as much as you can on different items or aspects, at the end you need still a certain amoutn of money for all of those things and always is not little money.

For example There are many local places or cities where I live I wish to visit in order to know more of my country and see the pretty things my country is offering me (nature, beaches), but simply I dont have enough money to spend to get out often and visit differnt places even if "you only live once and you have to enjoy it the good things life to offer you" and being in debt in other stuff in order to use the money to travel is not an option. travel so they end up having debts in other things but they use that money to travel.

I also know people even some of my relatives, who never ever had gone out for vacations even locally not even to another city in their area, cause they can't afford it.

So in my opinion travel is a luxury that not everyone can afford. With money you can do many things, without it, many doors are closed sounds sad, sure but it is the real truth.

I spent many years in the Navy and took my bicycle on the ship to many countries so I could ride around enjoying the sights.

But you are right. It does cost money to do most of the things people think of. Transportation, hotels, meals, entertainment, etc. But you also pay to stay at home. You need to eat whether at home or away. You need transportation to go places, even if just to work. Save a bit of money for a trip to the beach and pack a lunch. Get with friends to visit different places. Take turns providing the car, or each contribute to the gas. It is not the lush cruises or skiing trips, but you can do many things.

Traveling is for whomever makes it a priority. I grew up relatively poor. My was a had a job that allowed him to take long vacations in the summer. We pulled a camper behind our car, made lunch for ourselves at rest stops & various sights around the US. We stayed at low lost campsites (for the most part) and made our own dinners in the camper. All in all, we visited all but 4 states in the US and have been to most major tourist location in the US at least once.

Why so many details to my story…. if there is a will, there is a way. It may not be flashy and it may not be the fantasies promoted on travel channel, etc…. For me though, extremely memorable and is a great collection of memories/experiences.

Ultimately it’s all about priorities and what and how one choses to spend your money.

Prioritization of expenses and being thrifty will allow much more than you think.

But when a person does not earn enough money to have spare money to save for traveling, traveling is not a huge or big deal , they use that money for other more important things int heri life. Liek I said the person who has spare money and traveling for them is something priortiy well they save it for that.

Im one of those people. traveling is not my priority even if traveling sounds fun and to see new countries are meet new cultures, but I can't do it it requires money for many things, moeny that I dont have I have other more important things to save money. Traveling not one of them. I barely know my own country much less traveling abroad.

It also depends on how you're traveling.. how much money you want to spend on food, lodging, transportation.
If you have friends in that area..
It's also a lot cheaper if you're traveling and splitting bills with your friends.

It's certainly difficult to do if you cannot afford the fuel to even get work anymore... let alone driving to Disneyland or six flags
And the Airlines have become so paranoid jeeks... they can stick their companies... you know where.

Traveling is for anybody that wants to travel traveling is for anybody that has a desire to go someplace or to go meet somebody or go see their family we all do it whether we have money or not sometimes we sacrifice because of what we feel within and that we need to do something at least that's the reason why I travel there's a moment in time that I need to make it about somebody else and go visit or explore our experience

I thought when I was younger I could not travel because I had no money and lived in working poverty family. when I got older and working on my own I found that I could travel if I saved money for the activity.

Savings is important many years ago. I was denied credit. I wanted something which cost more than my salary could pay. So I looked at the product seeing how much I would be paying out on the item that I wanted and started saving a little at a time until I got what I wanted saved up. I walked back into the store that denied me the credit. Laid down $500 for that item that I wanted. I walked out not having to pay that store for that item. From that day forward I started setting you off a side a little bit of my money 💰 for emergencies. I started listening and finding out more information from people like Susie Orman. Listening to them gave me ideas on how to save and what to save. I have enough saved for one year's salary if anything ever happened to my employment. Yes it was hard and might have taken me some time to save for what I wanted in the beginning. Never again is my feelings and anybody and everybody can set aside enough coin to get whatever they want. We live in a society of credit today. Screw the creditor. I have learned that interest is not rest.

Some places do require money, but there are many places to visit on a budget. You don't have to be wealthy to travel and see interesting places. Some may be close to your home.
