Is 6'1" a good height for a guy?

I am about 6'1.25" (186 cm). Since I have 2 friends who are 6'3" and 6'5", I always wanted to be a little taller. Am I alright, or should I start wearing lifts and maybe even consider leg lengthening surgery? I have a crush on this girl who is 5'11" and in heels she's a bit taller than me. I heard guys should always be taller than girls. I don't mind it if a girl is taller than me. At the swimming pool a pretty girl who was maybe 6'3" flirted with me. It was really awesome.
