I just applied to a job and the submission status reads "Submitted; not selected"?

Does that mean it's already rejected? I just applied like a minute ago or it just means the system got it, they just haven't read it yet?

When that happens it usually means that your CV has been filtered out by the automated software because it didn't contain certain keywords which are essential for the job you applied for. This means, it has not even reached a human.

I may be wrong here, though. But this is the way it usually works. There is no other reason why it would show that status minutes after you submit your application.

It probably depends on the system they use but I don't think you have been rejected already, that would be weird. Maybe it means that the selection process still has to be made?

You were rejected already. They probably use software that filters certain buzzwords used in resumes.
