My girlfriend went through my phone, what should I do?

An old friend was texting me, then she went out to a party, got drunk and texted me saying she wanted to "f*** me in every position." I was at home with my girlfriend and text back, "whoa, steady on, your obviously enjoying your party so go have fun". I went downstairs for a drink and stuff, came back up an she said she'd set me an alarm to get up an let me know the other day that she'd looked at all my messages and began asking who she was! I was so angry, an she must not trust me at all so what do I do?

I've told her who it was and that Its nothing, and she seen my reply and how I didn't fall into the trap but she's still gone behind my back and lied to me! its such a violation of trust

Dude!!! If you don't have anything to hide you wouldn't be so worried!!! Sometimes women are just like that. You should just tell her how you feel. Try to build mutual trust by saying something like "I'll show you my texts if you show me yours" she will see that by you voluntarily showing her what you have she will know she can trust you plus, like I said, by you asking her to show you her texts as well will build mutual trust and she will also Understand how silly she is acting

Trust violation? Were not dr phil or your girlfriend so there's no need to to play that card. You have to expect that at some point people are gonna look through your phone especially your partner. Delete and passcodes are a good way to prevent them from seeing things. Also if my girl was talking to some guy I'm gonna want to know who he is and what his story is, Even if she told me I'm still not gonna be cool with seeing a text from someone saying they want to bang her.

your first mistake was not telling your girlfriend right off the bat that you got a text from that girl but obviously there are trust issues. she's insecure either through her own issues or not being able to trust you because of your actions. you guys need to have a talk about if there are any trust issues, etc etc

i used to do that to my man and it was because I didn't trust him and honestly I still don't but I realize that females are gonna say things like that and I should just let them go because I know he loves me. jsut sit her down and tell her how you feel

Try commenting here instead of updating the question. Dude she went through your phone you either forgive her or not. Besides if you aren't doing anything wrong...why care if she went through your messages...she told you she didso she's at least being honest with you

I know but that's not the point that she told me, she actually went behind my back an did it, she only apologised becasue she felt guilty. She's supposed to trust me not check up on me

This is an "Everyone sucks here." Moment. You did the right thing and rejected that girl, but you fucked up when you didn't tell your SO immediately. You should also cut contact with your female friend this isn't acceptable or respectful behavior. That said your girlfriend shouldn't have gone through your phone without permission because that's crossing a boundary line. Maybe you should ask if you can have a look at her phone now and see how she reacts.

what you did was wrong and you know it or you wouldn’t be afraid of her finding anything. spare her the heartache and break up.
If you cannot draw boundaries with your “friends” you do not belong in a relationship. No one in a healthy normal relationship would be okay with their partner exchanging sexual texts with anyone else.
You should not be responding to them. no questions asked.
after a certain point your phone should not be private. if you’re dating to marry you’re going to have to give up all of your secrets and if you’re not willing to do that don’t date anyone.
too many men attempt to gaslight women into believing such behavior is normal and it’s not. she has a right to go through your phone you are supposed to be her partner, there shouldn’t be anything at all in their to compromise your relationship. anyone else is lying.
