if you mean white as in white skin no not all of them , caucasian? yes the europeans, middle easterns and most north Africans , and in fact many of them are fair skinned with light features, colored eyes and hair, what you see in the media are the people from the few scattered islands in the medietrian sea or the arabs from the arabic pensuela which is far from the truth , you can choose to not trust what iam saying but you also have a good reason to believe me.

some people from that area may look like they can pass for other races but people usually refer to white people as anyone with a long history of european origin or possibly an ethnic person who looks like a stereotypical white person (a lot of middle eastern people look white for example)

Technically, yes. However, if you ask them what they are, they'll just say "Italian" or whatever applies. And they have the lovely xenophobic trait where they hate everyone but their own countrymen.

That's a question that people who aren't much knowledgeable about genetics ask. In general, people belong to a large group sharing the same physical features which we call as a 'race'. When a group of people become isolated, they develop certain different character traits. But what if a group of people are never isolated? What if they are continously breeding with one or the others? Then they dont stay distinct and and cannot be effectively called belonging to any race. This is the situation in case of Turks.

Modern turks trace decent from Indo-European language speakers (Hittites, Mittanis), Arabs, Byzantine (Eastern roman) greeks, Alexander the great era greeks, Gokturks (the bringers of turkish language), mongols, turkomans and god knows how many other central Asian steppe tribes. This has led genealogists to refuse slotting turks into any race, instead just calling them TURKS

@thewanderingme I believe anyone of European origin is considered to be caucasian by definition regardless of how dark they may appear. Being pale black would indicate that your of mixed origin. Now with other countries such as Russia, Turkey, India etc. it can be tricky in determining race and I leave that up to those born from those areas.

@thewanderingme That's not what I implied at all. Basically, if your of European origin, then you are can either be completely or partially caucasian regardless of how dark you appear. Partially is only if you have other races in your family originating from other areas of the world. I never stated India was in Europe, but there's some interesting info on the matter. Like I said, I can't comment on other countries.
