I've been tool I act like a boy... like I talk like one and have very similar thought processes with them but I still like a lot of girly stuff so... go figure. Basically it's a combination of both genetic and environmental influences so I'm still essentially a girl but the only way I was taught was the ways of a guys hence the masculine traits.

@betweenthebars I'm not just a guy. I've had gender dysphoria and it's been cured by my transition. I am certainly a girl, i just feel like i've got to stick to rigid "thats female" boundaries when i have some traditionally non-feminine hobbies.

I am undecidedly female, just dont typically act it completely but everyone thinks im a girl regardless. You wouldn't call a cisgirl whos a tomboy a boy. So why would you call a transgirl tomboy one.

What the fuck, it's because a generic girl has a vagina. Someone who is boyish and has a vagina is a boyish girl. Someone who is boyish and has a penis is just a guy.

How does this make sense to you? You keep saying you're female BUT you have a penis and you like guyish things and consider yourself boyish... huh? So you have a guys genitals and a guys brain.. but you're a female?

I'm not saying don't be transgender but don't expect people to take you very seriously if you still think/act/feel like a guy AND have a penis

@betweenthebars I don't think/act/ feel like a guy. I entirely think, act and feel like a girl. Just because you can't comprehend how someone can be a girl but not overly feminine doesn't mean it's not possible. I have feminine behaviours, i just have interests typically associated with tomboys and am a nerd.

And why the fuck does have a penis have anything to do with it? I've transitioned, i am 100% indistinguishable from every other girl i've met and people at uni who i do not tell have no idea whatsoever.

I CAN comprehend how someone can be a girl and not be feminine.. if they have a vagina. But if you have a penis and you aren't feminine then what the fuck? What is making you say you are female?

It just makes no sense to me. And how can you even ask how a penis is relevant? Boys have penises, girls have vaginas. If you have a penis and you think you're a girl it's pretty natural to assume you would be feminine.. if you aren't then maybe you're just a GUY.

I don't get why this is so hard to understand. And also just because people at your school don't say anything doesn't mean they can't tell, they're probably just being PC. I'm sure I'd be able to tell.

@betweenthebars Because you don't understand how gender identity works. It's not about behaviour or expression, its the neurological structures in the brain that controls the perception fo yourself. When you are trans you get this thing called gender dysphoria. Its an inherent hatred, extreme discomfort and even suicidal ideation over the gender you were assigned/raised as. For instance being male was hell on earth and i wanted to die daily over how wrong my entire body felt.

I transitioned to fix that, my body is female and i love it and i feel happy with my own existence. Now i sound feminine, act it a bit and am indistinguishable from a cisfemale. Minus the penis but nooone sees that. Now i can act how i want without hating myself, and that involves playing video games, rock climbing, being sporty and reading science fiction- things commonly associated with males.

You don't understand transgender isn't about being "feminine", its about your body and how you see yourself

@betweenthebars Also noone can tell. At all. I've had scenarios where boys have hit on me and i had to tell them and they were repulsed and ran away. As well as that i came out to one really good friend who said they had no idea and thought i was lying.

@betweenthebars Gender identity. Its how you perceive yourself. I perceive as a girl and my head identifies as one. My body felt wrong as a male so i fixed it. my body is unrelated to my behaviour, i fixed the body. You areliterally not even reading what im mentioning on gender identity.
Id recommend reading up on it as you clearly dont comprehend what being transgender even is.

ANd being a guy was hard because i am transgender. Seriously do you even know what transgender is? It's being subjected to the condition of gender dysphoria, an intense hatred and discomfort of the gender you are born as. @betweenthebars Because gender identity is a psychological thing that is set. It's not decided. It's innate and there from birth. Genuine question, do you know what a gender identity is?
It is the psychological perception an individual has, its how, in their head, the gender their brain is. You know how you are a girl in your head? Yeah, I've got that in my head. I just happen to have interests in some things that can be considered boyish, however in my head i am still a girl.

I don't know. This is mainly based on stereotypes and generalizations. I'd have to go with more female, unfortunately. Although I'd rather be masculine with regards to my gender, I'm much more sensitive, emotional, and introverted. However, I do enjoy many hobbies that are usually enjoyed by other men too, so I am masculine in some aspects.
