Like is it dark skinned, dark hair, or dark or mysterious personality?

Just looked it up and it apparently means darker skin but like tanner skin. It mainly refers to men who are outside more often and work with their hands or are more physically strong in general. It originated from early European times where there are more predominantly Caucasian people and darker tanned people were people who worked outside.
