Is it a bad idea to block your crush on social media so you won't feel self-conscious about everything you post?

My friend has social anxiety and having her crush as a friend on social media makes her feel even more self conscious about posting. Our other friend said she should just block him, but she's afraid he might find out because they have so many mutual friends.

In my opinion, yes, it is. If you like this person you shouldn't block them and you shouldn't be worried about being self- conscious. If you want him to like you too he is going to have to see you for who you are anyway. If you block him he is going to think he did something wrong, or think that you did it to be rude and that could ruin any possible chance you may have. So my suggestion is dont block him, and if you already have unblock him and say sorry I must have pocket blocked you.

first off social anxiety sucks and she should just post what makes her her. but every post is going to to take a lot out of her. blocking her crush won't solve anything and if he ever found out she blocked him he might question her about it which is way worst then just looking at what she post. as her freind just encourage her to be herself on all social platforms and maybe even hype her up to talk to her crush but again social anxiety is an uphill battle
