If you mean bastard in the sense of an illegitimate child then yes, the dictionary only specifies that it be a 'person', not a male or a female. That said, historically it was applied to males rather than females as females couldn't receive an inheritance from the father whereas a son could.

If you are referring to the word bastard in terms of profanity alone then the female equivalent would be 'bitch'.
