Giving. I really like seeing people light up when they realize that they matter and that I paid attention. I don't expect anything in return but for some reason I always feel in debt to some extent if I'm on the receiving end of gifts or like the person expects something back from me.

Probably receiving, but I enjoy giving as well if I know the person well enough to know what he or she needs.

receiving. i hate giving gifts because i suck at choosing gifts for people. The only good gift i have got someone was beats headphones... which broke like a week later because their cat attacked the wire.
last time i'll buy someone an expensive gift

Neither. I am not good with picking gifts. And I am not much of an actor when receiving gifts. Do we really need special days to expect giving and receiving gifts? Just do it when you feel like it.
