Braces and Relationships?

So I'll be getting braces in a few days. I have some concerns over braces and Relationships. So will having braces effect my relationship? I really don't want to hurt my boyfriend. Will my braces get stuck on things a lot? Because I don't want my braces to get stuck to my boyfriend. Like when him and I make out or when I give him a hickey. Is there anything that I should know when I get braces? Is there anything that I should be warned about?

I got mine off like three weeks ago actually hahah but no you're perfectly fine. When I made out with my boyfriend I find it the same as without braces pretty much. You'll feel weird at first but honestly chances are he won't even be able to feel them. I actually made out for the first time ever in my life while I had braces and it was totally fine. Also you do need to brush your teeth a bit more often so food won't get stuck but it's usually nothing to worry about at all. But for some reason giving hickeys with braces actually was a lot harder and it can actually hurt your mouth if you suck really hard😕 But my advice is keep something near you to help keep your braces clean. You won't hurt him don't worry !

If you don't normally knock your teeth on things now, then don't worry about it. Braces tend to collect food so you need to keep a mirror handy, but otherwise, the feel of them and how you kiss or give a hickey doesn't matter. If it wasn't an issue with your normal teeth, it won't be with the braces.
