What does it mean when a guy suddenly texts you at past midnight?

this guy suddenly text me that he can't sleep and gave his another cell phone number to me at 2AM! I mean wth, 2am?! I actually found it really weird and a bit scary hahaha. so what do you think?

It's all about context.

For some people, it's just their character to text people whenever they like. But most people will at least acknowledge the fact that it is late... "I know it's late, but I was thinking about you and I couldn't sleep". Some guys will do it trying to be sweet.

But then some other guys will do it because they're bored and horny.

Depends on what the message said. Maybe he just likes to stop up late. Why have you still got your phone on at 2 AM anyway!

He said " hey I can't sleep. by the way, this is my other number. this is (his name) the one you met on training " I've read his text message when I woke up and when I looked at the time sent it's 2am.

He could of went to sleep with you on his mind...and when he woke up he figured, oh crap I should text her my new number. I want her to have it.

You might just be on his mind all the time.
