What does it mean when a guy texts you at nearly 11 pm?

Ok so he's 17 and I'm 15. We have met irl just once, about 2 weeks ago and then I texted him.

We talked just 3 times and all of this time I was the one that started every convo so when he didn't text me after a few days, I stopped texting him.

Now, it's been 9 days since we last talked and yesterday night he sent me a reel and texted me "Heeeyyy" (in my native language) at 10:40 pm. And we talked for about 20 minutes (I wanted to talk more but I don't know how to hold conversations).

Now, it was different this time. Usually, I asked all the questions but this time he asked me what I'm doing and then remembered a thing I have to go to and he asked me how it was. Like he remembered that.

But I'm curious if he sent me the reel just to start a convo (he's shy irl) or he was just bored. And I don't know if I should text him today or text him tomorrow so he doesn't think I'm too clingy. (I'm a massive overthinker so ik I'm looking too much into it)

I like him but I know he doesn't like me so I want to be at least friends with him but I don't know if he wants to. But a little update, he sent me a meme today which is new cause he never does this (or starts texting in general)

Yeah, no, he doesn’t really like you I can guarantee that. Definitely just bored. You’re only 17 but there are men in their late 20’s who still do this. I’d just accept you all are friends and do it like that, because he is 100% talking to other girls.

I can understand why he didn't text me because the first 2 times I texted him I asked him about certain things (cause I was too shy to just ask him how he is doing) and maybe he thought I texted him just because I needed something.

But the 3rd time I texted him I literally asked him what he was doing. And we talked a bit and then we stopped talking.

Your sexual hormones are active. He is bored and he wants your company. Or He wants to sleep with you. Have sex and use protection, if it's legal in your country to have sex at this age.
