I have many times and still like to. I'm usually barefoot weather permitting, so stepping on bugs is just a thing that happens. When I first started going barefoot, I noticed that just stepping normally I was squishing about 11 bugs a day. I found I actually like it a lot. Bug squish is a fairly pleasant sensation on my soles. On and off I'll go on strolls just to squish bugs. Several of these come to mind :

My first squishing spree I went on was in the summer of 1999. I was walking barefoot through a sandy trail near a park, which was full of anthills. I had always preferred to squish bugs, but mom was always a "catch and release" person. So, I decided to see how many ants I could squish in the course of my stroll. My final squish count was 155 and felt pretty good. It was the most rebellious thing I'd done at the time, and for a while I made a habit of squishing bugs in front of friends to shock them

Once, I came across a slice of banana on the sidewalk swarming with ants. I gave it a solid twisting stomp and squished about 17 ants at once.

Another time, I was living in a rural area for the summer and was always barefoot when I walked to the post office. This was by the side of the highway, where many bugs would be injured from hitting cars. I squished on average about 5-7 dying bugs this way everyday. That's not to say I was a good guy, though. once, as I walked, a caterpillar crossed the road, dodging at least three vehicles to make it. I squished it underfoot when it reached me..

Third, I was once walking on a sidewalk and very depressed. I saw about four ants on the sidewalk and stomped as hard as I could. I lifted my foot and saw nothing where they had been. looking at the sole of my foot, I saw four tiny smudges. I had pancaked them so hard they were just paste stuck to my foot. I have never felt so powerful.

Once, the apartment building where I had lived had an infestation of an invasive species of ladybug. I saw this while barefoot taking out the trash and spent the next 45 minutes squishing as many as I could, probably about 100.

I know this sounds weird and borderline psychotic. But I'm not violent to humans or animals and have been happily married for several years now. My wife disapproves of me doing this, but if she's not around, I still do this and likely always will

I stepped on a snail once the shell is suprisingly soft, I just rubbed it on some stone and washed it inside not a big deal didn't feel disgusting or anything I've stepped in dog shit barefeet before.

10/24/2020 yes I've stepped on bugs barefoot very rarely with shoes on, guess it seems like more of a challenge barefoot plus what ever is under your feet generally feels good on the feet, but I'm more of an opportunist I don't really hunt critters down to squish them its more of being in the right place at the right time, someone else had posted they felt bad as a kid even accidentally killing something, I can relate to that myself, then you get older and perspectives change, I can remember walking to yoga classes at my apartment complex in shorts and bare feet and with heavy rains there would be no shortage of frogs in the parking lots needless to say there were some flat froggies on way to and from yoga, is this normal behaviour who knows, been married am also a productive member of society not a hunter, and don't believe in even killing animals unless its for food, I guess different strokes for different folks :)
