Why are Furries so hated?

So why are Furries hated in general? Many people connect them with animal abuse and other rumours but nothing of this is true. Furries are even doing big charity events and such things.

Well personally I personally like Furries. Creating an animal version of yourself is pretty fun. I think some people just get a kick out of hating on things because they want to feel superior to someone else. Some people who are unhappy with themselves also hate on things because they want someone to feel worse than they do. Fandoms just seem to be an easy target for these people. There are also these people out there who get really confused and even feel threatened if people start acting differently then they're used to. I know a few people like this... Also there are people who do it simply to fit in, if society finds it weird they want to make it clear that they think it's weird too.

Furries can seem childish or weird... So creepy rumors start going around and then frustrated people start hating them without actually knowing what they are talking about or even trying to understand... It's basic crowd psychology
