What does it mean when someone says you look unique?

"You look exotic"
"You look unique"
"You have a unique bone/facial structure"
"There's no one else that looks like you"
I've been called beautiful/hot/pretty and stuff, but what does it mean to look unique?
And is it a compliment?

I would take it as a compliment, but in pretty happy with who I am..
I guess it could be seen as being outside the "norm". But being called exotic is usually a good thing
