Why are so many serial killers gay?

Read the book "Mind Hunter" by John Douglas. Douglas worked for the FBI as a profiler. in the book he talks about how serial killers rarely kill outside their own race, and that the gender of victim is based on the sexuality of the killer. Since the vast majority of serial killers are male, then:

male victim = the killer is homosexual
female victim = the killer is heterosexual

Also, the older the victim, the younger the perpetrator. This is because young serial killers feel inexperienced an want an easy target, so they go after the elderly. Once the killer gets more experience and more confidence, they'll go after younger targets.

So if you hear on the news about some elderly white women being murdered, you know the perpetrator is a young, white, heterosexual male.

Probably many of them suffered abuse at the hands of men. Serial killers aren't driven by sex but rather power. Their homosexuality might have nothing to do with actually being physically and emotionally attracted to males, but rather wishing to inflict sexual violence on other males to gain power.

Firstly, it's one list. I'm sure there's probably more straight people who kill. Secondly, they get put under a lot of stress for being who they are by many people, or pretending to not be gay etc. So the mental trauma is enough to make people snap. Some, like many straights, are just psychopaths

Plus, I think psychological abuse has a little bit to do with personality disorders etc. and considering how gay people were tortured and abused to turn them straight, I’m not shocked that some snapped.

There’s a list of 35 serial killers on it (which is definitely not exhaustive) and 14 are listed as gay. More than half of that list can be assumed to be straight.

You can say that gay men are disproportionately represented in the population of serial killers, but you cannot say that gay men are serial killers. Poisson distributions don’t work that way. Most people are not serial killers, full stop.
