If they can be fixed without falling apart again I'll consider fixing.
I'm not someone who wastes a lot of stuff.
I've known people who'd go a lot further than me, for example buying 15 identical pairs of socks. When the left one is worn out you combine the right one with the left sock from another pair.
That way, you can do quite long with your set of socks!
i find joy in trying to fix things. i mean it's fucked right so what ever i do, can only make it better. if i fail, i throw it out and get replacement but if i can, i fix it and more often than not, i can fix it.
If it's really a thing, and it's old, and it's broken! I prefer to replace it.
If it's new/old and precious or I'm attached to it emotionally (some memorable photoframe or gift from someone important), I prefer to fix it.
If by things you mean "situation", I prefer to fix them than to replace (let it go) so that I won't regret in the future.
I fix it, but more out of neccesity. I don't have the mons to just replace stuff. Like I'd love to just buy a new set of noise cancelling Bose headphones but I don't have that much money so I just gotta keep up with the electrical tape and hope they last another year or so.

Usually I would get my brother to try to fix it first because he is very tech savvy and can fix almost anything. If he can't, or if I'm unable to get the item to him, I'll usually replace it because I don't know how to fix things myself. Taking things someplace to have them fixed is costly and I'd rather just replace it.
Depends on what it is. If it's easily fixable, I'll try my best. Some things just can't be safe though, or it's too much of a hassle; then I buy new ones.
I try to fix them but if that doesn't work I replace it... I still have a broken vase, I just turn it the other way around so I guess it depends on how much I liked that object.
Depends on the product. I tend not to exercise a new product's warranty when it breaks because it's usually replaced with something refurbished, which is just a fixed version of someone else's problem.
I always try to fix them in case they could be fixed.
Some things are just meant to go for recycle instead.
It depends on the object itself :-)
I usually try to fix it or not mind the damage. Rarely do I replace something when broken unless it's function is ruined by the break ex) a mirror.
I fix things, to a certain extent. If something has broken multiple times, I eventually give in and get it new
I like to attempt to fix things and if I just make it worse then I get rid of it, if it’s super important to me then i just let my mom or dad fix it.
I can fix just about anything.
My car has 228,000 miles on it, and it runs and looks like new.
I'm going to run that thing until it explodes.
I would only bother repairing things of sentimental value.
To this day, I only have repaired two items fitting that description, both of which were gifts from my relatives.
I like to try to fix first and then contemplate if I even need it anymore before making the decision to replace it.
If it broke because of cheap quality when it was relatively new, I would want to replace it. If it is something I have had for a while then I would fix it if I could.
Once its. Broken its broken.
For e. g. _ once a hymen breaks , it never grows back. Said be careful before breaking anything.
Don't regret it later on.
Hm.. I try to fix them but usually gets even worse 😅
I fix it. Not only am I going to fix it. If I have to by parts. That's when I start calling it an upgrade.
Fix because i hold emotional value to things i have 😂😂😂
With most everyday objects, I replace.
Most of the time, the time and effort to fix something that didn't cost hundreds of dollars, isn't worth it
This question is such a trip wire it's not even funny
It depends on the thing that's broken. Some things are easy to fix and other things are nearly impossible.
If they hold much value to me, and they can be fixed, I wouldn't replace them.
Fix, you can't never replace at all. Specially if it's a person.
Try to fix them first, and then replace them if I need to
Everything I own is something I have fixed, or was getting thrown out by someone. I hate waste.
Replace them because half of what I own and cheap stuff from China town.
If it's something I know how to fix then I'd prefer that
Depends on how bad the damage is. If it's able to be savaged, then I will fix it.
Depends on what it is. Fix - if fixable, replace if not...
I will try to fix it but if I can't I will ask someone to and if they can't then I will get another one
I agree, you can't replace the person you're with. But you can fix the relationship. But a material object, fix it till it's broken
if it's a plate no if it's a bike or skate board or those, kinds of things eltronics if cheap to fix it if expensive to fix get new 1
This is a Japanese bowl fixes with gold and strengthened.. I prefer fixing things and strengthen them for as long as possible
Replace always good to have a reason to get something new 😂x
Fix them. I’m an engineer so I love doing that type of stuff.
It depends on how fragile & valuable the object is. If its beyond repair then I'll have it replaced.
Fix to the point it's impractical. I'm an engineer, so that's why. :/
Depends on the item. Something easily fixed like a shelf or a computer I'll fix it. But something more difficult like a car engine or roof I'd prefer to get a new one.
If it's my beloved computer, fix. Anything else, meh can't be bothered.
I like to fix things. Its so much more rewarding and it could be a story to tell
Depends on the product and the cost of fixing it versus purchasing a new one.
What if it has no monetary value, such as a gift that was given by someone special and it has emotional value. Do you analyze the personal cost of losing it and replacing it with the same thing.. it just has a different value other than money?
@jtimberlake
cost in my reference can equal time in me fixing it and figuring out how as well.
If it is sentimental, you bet your ass I'll find a way to fix it.
I agree 100%
Fix fix fix until it can no longer be fixed. Then begrudgingly replace.
I like the challenge of fixing broken things but hell yeah i love buying new too
Depends what it is, if it’s dishes or glass then I’m just replacing it
Fix them. I always fix my laptop before I have to replace it because that would be too expensive
If it can be fixed, fix it. But not everything can be
If it is something I know I can fix I will, otherwise I often calculate the risk because sometimes trying to fix something can make it worse
There are three questions that one must also consider: Can it be fixed? Can it be replaced? Do I even need another one?
It depends on the thing that's broken. I would fix my turntable rather than some cheap vase from Ikea.
Fix them that's one of your purpose in life fixing problems is what we do best.
I am very handy so i always try fixing things before replacing them
Depends on the product. Its its fixable then yes fix it.
If i liked it enough I would fix it. Then you have a sort of bond with it
I prefer to fix what I have. You gotta be a good steward of what you have
I will try to fix them... because.. i give special value for old once
I always try fixing before i replace them.. umless theyre cheap things like charging cords
Depends on how beautiful things looks if they're fixed.
Fix then when it looks like shit, replace. Or do without
Id choose to Replace them more often. Because it's easier.
Depends on what it is i also enjoy breaking and fixing things
I’m to bouji so replace😂
I prefer to fix everything in every sense.
