What makes one person cringe will make another person think, "Wow, that's really cool!"

What one person sees as a virtue, another person will see as a flaw.

No one can be liked by everyone. Your own nature Will be interpreted as good by some people, and as bad by others. And this depends on their own nature.

You don't like preps and conformists, so it's hardly surprising if preps and conformists don't like you. Your values, after all, are a renouncement of their values.

Maybe you should be flattered that they call you cringy. It means they see you as important enough to attack you. Maybe when they look at what you are, they see a silent criticism of what they are. Maybe it stings.
