I don't know about the PS in particular.
But it seems like girls tend to prefer consoles in part due to the higher frequency of games with local multiplayer there, something that's more social and therefore also more popular among girls.
That said, you'll find girls in *all* kind of games, including shooters where there's plenty of girls kicking our asses.
That said, girls tend to refrain from making their gender public and just let people assume that they're a guy in many games, in part due to the negative responses they get there.
As a result it might not always be easy to find them.

I suggest that you find a good girl friendly guild/org/squadron etc so you can get people to play with that's sane and grown up instead of some of the guys you'll find online...

What exact game you look at also matters with regards to how many girls you'll find as some attract more girls then others.
Often games that are more social in nature either inside the game (many MMOs) or on the outside (local multi-player) or that are easy to access and don't take up too much time that can be used for socializing in the real world (mobile games).

But like I said, regardless of the game you *will* find girls there as long as the player base reach a certain level of size...
(Games with a player base measured in the houndreds might not have girls in them sometimes)

No. I don't think it's normnal for anyone older than middle school to play video games, but there's no reason why girls or boys can't play equally. to think that there's a gender difference between sitting around and zoning out in fron of a video game is ludicrous.

It's not normal, it is every man's dream but so often are we disappointed to find out our interests have no respect for gaming. If I ever find a woman who wants to go round for round at Injustice 2 and even more could tell me little known things about each character, even if I already knew them... that would be the one to break me and think marriage!

Nah it is fine people can do what they wish. Video games aren't really a masculine or feminine thing it's just entertainment. That said I understand where your coming from asking this as it is a male dominated arena but the answer is still no.

It isn't normal but it is accepted. There are many more men who play PlayStation or other gaming consoles then there are women but when women do play, other male gamers respect them for their understanding of why gaming is such a big part of our lives and this proves why its accepted but not the norm.
