Science is based on repeating experiments and being open to results other than those expected. If Einstein really thought this way what was the point in him pondering over questions humanity had addressed for millennia in the expectation of reaching a different conclusion. You can try to do the same thing but the universe and its atoms always change :)) what keeps us sane is that we can rely on patterns on average (hence expectation https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Expected_value)

No one who ever said "that man is insane!" was referring to the person making the same mistake or choice repeatedly. Insanity is being mentally ill or unstable. The opposite of patterned behavior. They make erratic and unpredictable decisions.

Not necessarily. Did Einstein really say that? Whatever happened to: "If at first, you don't succeed, try, try again"? Sometimes, you have to change something the next time, but other times, it's some outside factor that caused it to fail the first (or second...) time.
