Accidentally drove over a curb. Can I get a ticket?

I was making a right turn at night into the lot of a restaurant, and the brights of someone else's car glared into my windshield. I accidentally turned a second too early and drove over a curb.
The curb didn't crumble or anything under the weight of my car. But there are most likely security cameras for all the buildings around. Can I get in trouble for driving on a curb accidentally? I didn't hit any private property or any one else's car.

If a cop saw you do it he could pull you over for reckless driving but since there were no human witnesses nothing will happen. Even automated speeding tickets when fought in court will lose because our judicial system is based on the right to face your accuser and because a security camera is not a conscious being and therefore not able to be faced, it's "evidence" is technically not admissible. It's just a system that preys on the ignorant.

ok thanks lol. its just embarrassing to even think that I did that. I have a spotless driving record too hahah never been stopped by a cop or anything! I'd like to keep it that way lol

What you need to worry about with that - and it will happen again (I just did it) - are your tires and wheel alignment. Banging into a curb can adversely affect your tires or even your wheels and can cause your car to need a wheel alignment. A new tire will cost about $200. Same with a new wheel. A wheel alignment is often free when you buy new tires, but, as a standalone service, it's probably close to $100 if not more.

Yeah, driving badly can cause tickets and/or higher insurance, but accidents and car repairs cost a lot more. Pay a few car repair bills (want mine? - it'll be at least $1000) and you will quickly learn the hard way to be a more careful driver and care for your car on a regular basis.

how would I know if there's an issue with tires/wheel alignment? I have a short drive to work tomorrow morning.

Don't worry. A wheel alignment isn't the end of the world. If you needed one, driving without one just causes your tires to wear out faster.

Next time you get an oil change, spend some money and get a wheel alignment. If you don't actually need it, they won't charge so much (if at all).
