Well lets see, Freddy is in your dreams and can't physically die. They kind portrayed Micheal as invincible and can't die either but I just think that's because nobody has is brave enough to actually kill him. Freddy torments his victims day and knight even if they are awake causing them to have sleep deprivation. With micheal, he's a bit slow, he does catch up eventually but it he's not as swift as Freddy. Micheal does have a weak point, and that is water since he's afraid of drowning so that might hold him back for a while... with Freddy I don't think had to many weak points if can remember. They only way to really beat Freddy is if you pull him out of dream which can be a difficult and impossible task sense his victims are terrified and exhausted. So with that said, sense Freddy can appear at any moment in the blink of an eye, I think I'm gonna say he's the winner.

LOL, watch the movies, he was shot in the head, and he is still alive, he survived being gunned down by the police unit, multiple shots in the body and the head, he even survived an explosion.

@Femdomina Yeah but how could he have like paranormal power? Halloween is supposedly set in the real world, whereas A Nightmare on Elm Street is obviously set inside peoples' heads. Plus Freddy has supernatural powers in the dreams that normal animals wouldn't have, is the idea I guess.
Well, Michael has supernatural power of immortality, in real world, that's more intimidating than being powerful only in dream world.

Michael Myers is less fun, plus Freddy has a more interesting backstory and style.
This is really an unfair comparison, because on is just a regular dude who is completely bonkers, and the other is a supernatural create made to terrify you in the most absurd ways.
I'd say it would be more fair to compare Freddy and Jason Voorhees, since Jason is basically an improved version of Michael Myers. Then again, he isn't connected to Halloween in any way. Is Freddy though? And for that matter, if Halloween isn't the limit, I think Chucky would be the best contender against Freddy - similarly terrifying and carismatic villain with unique background and quirks.
I feel like Freddy is more of a Halloween dude. Creepy shit always happens around Halloween.

Freddy can be harmed in real world, Jason also died a few times, but Michael was never actually dead, they shot him thousands of times, but he always got up.
