What does it mean when a guy lets you drive his car?

My friends with benefits said he would let me drive his car. It's not the best looking car but I'm shocked he would let me drive it. He says it's not his baby or his dream car but he doesn't mind letting me drive. I feel so happy but yet I don't know what this means. We are kind of dating well hanging out together. We kiss and date and stuff but we're not official.
