Guys are often very protective of their cars. I wouldn't let my girlfriend of 3 years drive my car. Nobody drives my car. If it even needs to get pulled out the driveway to let someone out, I'm doing it myself.
Other guy's really just don't care whatsoever.
I'd lean towards he likes you, but I don't know him. You can be the judge of that.
I don't know, he might just be careless. I wouldn't let anyone drive my car unless I was dating them for awhile.
