What do you think of furries?

I would like to know other peoples opinions of these furries and fursuiters.

Being a furry myself, I love the fandom of it, despite how cringy and strange some of them can be. I wish a lot of people wouldn't look so negatively upon them as perverted and/or insane because it's very similar to wearing a costume but only as your animal self! They can be really nice, while a few may creep you out.

If my avatar and background don't give it away, I'm usually wearing them since I love them so much! If only it didn't cost so much to get a fursuit...

No kidding right? I wish I could get one too. I'm also a furry myself, just a little more afraid to say that I am. I've been a furry for about 6 years now. Sense 2013. And I've seen people opinions sway and I can say this day and age it's the worst for the furry community.

I can understand why people would look at you funny for being one as I had that same fear as well due to society having a negative perspective on them. I'm hoping they'll be seen as people simply wanting to have a good time as their fursona!

I don't know, it was like a feeling inside me, the way he looked, with the butterfly and the background really spoke to me, and the way he looked it was like I was looking at a version of myself weirdly but someone more confident. So I chose him and named him max.

Ironic that you'd call it dehumanizing considering they wear animal costumes. They're one of the few subcultures that have absolutely no benefit to society. None.

I know, I saw that one coming when I said that. Everyone thinks they want to fuck animals and it's about sex when it's not. It's about spreading creativity and happiness through art and suits. Though there are those ones where they just have gone way too far and put a bad rap on the fandom.

I said dehumanizing as just saying disrespecting. They are human just like you and me, just with a different interest. And over time if you dehumanize somthing, more people would be ok with killing those kind of people without feeling guilty. It's happened all over history. (Especially with Hitler dehumanizing the jews)

So I'm a furry. Yeah, most of them are creepy, weird, perverted, and some of the suiters? Really cringey. People are quick to point out the negative aspects but rarely the positive.

But some of us are normal people that keep to ourselves and distance ourselves from the weirdos of the fandom.

That's not even true. Most of them dont have sex in the suit, and another thing some people think is that they want to fuck an animal, which us 100% wrong. They mostly just like the art and the suits. It's about spreading creativity and happiness.
