I mean, yeah, but there are several issues...
1.) You probably need that guy's help to get back.
2.) You just committed murder and are likely going to jail for your respective country when you get back.
3.) It's not like you can just land your space craft anywhere, so you certainly aren't escaping.
4.) You have limited resources, so you ain't living in space.
5.) You probably just made international headlines, so now you are screwed for life as being labeled a murderer, even if/when you get out of jail.
