Does anyone know a way my phone number has been getting leaked or if it’s been put on a website?

Respond to all of them with:
We think you may have been given a wrong number, Stranger! but we know how to make it up to you.
Choose any two or more Domino’s pizzas, with our mix and match deal, and we’ll give ‘em to you for just $5.99 each.
And don’t forget to download our app on your iPhone or Android for pizza at your fingertips!
That is pretty frightening !
I would share this information with the police-maybe even with the FBI. then...
I would call your carrier and change your number.
You should do it now... I mean right now.
I wish you the best.
Thanks for the mho.
That's sad to hear and scary too... You have to be so careful... I'd change your number for sure. It's gotten leaked from somewhere but while you are getting a new number, I'd ask the phone company how could your number have been leaked?
Wth yeah I agree with every one else you should change your number which is bs because it's an inconvenience to you because of some asshole but looks like the only solution

🤣😂🤣I am sorry but this is so funny..
Don't get me wrong,
I have never kissed a girl or gotten laid..
And I am very thirsty..
But I never behave like this.
This is hilarious..
Okay try this..
Respond them with a simple mathematical equation to solve.. Like 5+(4-2)+82(5-5)= ?
See if the answer this correct.
Raw Confession : I have been getting similar emails..
Because this one night I got too desperate.. And signed up on the fuck-book (pimping website).
And I started getting similar emails..
It's just Bots.
Named Mary, Jen, Michelle...
I think someone just signed up with your number and it's just Bots troubling you..
Because men don't do this..
They either go with "Hi" or Dick pics..
Men aren't intelligent enough to write, Erotic message..
the most prevalent way of telephone number leaking is through user error. does facebook have your number? who else has your phone number? have you installed apps that have strange permissions? all this shit can be a factor. you're the only one that can know this. i don't think you're being stalked. you very likely just managed to get your number on some sort of list that is now being spammed by some small scale internet criminals that can happen to the best of us. no big deal. i guess you'll have to change the number to get rid of that shit.
Honestly I don’t have long w this number. I had my backup email to sign up for stuff and that doesn’t have my current number either. I don’t have any other social media like I honestly never put my number anywhere bc this has happened before and I was much more careful this time. I’m changing my number but if it happens randomly again I will go to the cops
well the cops won't do shit, cause there's no "harm" being done to you. being "annoyed" is not something that you can take measures against.
but as i saw you answered that stranger texting you. that's the biggest mistake you can do. because some of those small scale scammers just send out messages to every possible number and if you answer, they're like "jackpot" and start spamming you, cause they know there's an active person behind that number. so next time when you're messaged by a random stranger, just don't reply.
pretty sure they don't. it's not an individual, it's a unorganized group. there's methods to gaining information that makes it seem like they know you. it's called social engineering. for one person it would be way too much expense and effort to do this.
well if you know who it is, confront them.
It could be many things.
There are many entities that have your number. Banks, employers, health clubs, schools, credit card companies , Google, Yahoo , insurance companies , public library etc. It is possible that some company was hacked and their customer data stolen and your name and number are part of that stolen data.
Also it could be that you gave your number to someone or typed it in some website months or years ago and you just don't recall.
Report it to your phone carrier ASAP.
Hey thanks for your opinion and no I dii ok not even put it for my email service like I said I don’t put my number anywhere and I changed my number not so long ago maybe a year and this has been happening. I could say that maybe they are trying to harass the person that had this number before me, but they say my name
Call the police. Never post that number on social media, always use an email address when signing up for anything, never LINK ACCOUNTS! And most importantly do not let other people have your phone. You will always have somebody finding ways to hack your phone, and do not go online to suspicious websites, especially porn sites on your phone. They get affected by malware and other viruses. Get a new phone if you must.
Different area codes? Possibly a truck stop bathroom. Somebody may not like you very much. Ex's?
If it keeps up changing your number would be about the only thing you could do. It's a lotta trouble though. Normally I'd say wait it out but 30 is well beyond the realm of isolated incidents.
They are most likely from one person, whom you know in person and who has your number. This person changes the number he appears to be texting from either with a vpn or one or more of those text from a fictive number services that can be found online. I believe there are also apps for such things. You know that person, you gave him your number. Easiest way to make it stop is to change your number.
I'm taking your word on this matter 🧐 so dating sites or sharing your number online being out of the question, who is in your circle of friends who you have fallen out with or has stopped talking to you?
@sheyhoney I feel it's an extreme reaction and a great waste of time, it's foreign to my mentality but some people are extremely bitter and vindictive. Also, a person's definition of "dumb shit" can be very different. Your response leads me to think you have someone in mind who could be behind this, how did you wrong them?
Jeeeeezzz. I've heard of things sort of like this happening... but usually to a business. The only thing that makes sense to me is that your number ended up in some sort of classsified ad, or escort service or something... that accidentally gave your number instead of the one they meant to. Like a wrong number in their ad.
It wasn't malicious, just a mistake. DOes that make sense?
sorry I missed that! Wow...
Call your phone company. Unelss you have a prepaid or, a non contract phone. They can put on spam protection. That will filter out a lot of those. But, you are gonna have to turn it on and sorta modify it.
If that doesn't work change your number or provider.
What did you do, did you give your number to a stranger, did you give your number to strange suspicious scammers on a dating site?
Put more context
Possible ways it could've gone out
Somebody gave it out (hence people knowing your name)
You gave it out to someone online
You gave it to a scammer bot
Websites that require you to enter your number in for security reasons.
We would never know but that's in the air
If its bots, chat with them to verify if they are actually bots.
Bots respond quick and automated and have a set message they have to say when u talk.
Bots gotten smarter so, but that sounds like bots.
Someone probably used your number to sign up for some weird website scam and now you get robots.
Change your number by the way
Yeah keep searching so I can see if they are bots. Because the way keep programming bots, they make them so that it's harder to identify em. Like I once talked to a bot and it sounded like a actual human being.
I suspect its bots because I dont think man I've seen starts off a convo with a girl using those lines, even if they do all 30 of those can't start with lewd perverted messages and be real peolle
Might be someone that knows you and they're using an free phone app and changing their number , are the numbers from your area code?
Well first off how did they get your number? But just change numbers not worth it getting harassed!!! Or are those your side dudes?😡 I thought I was the 1st one in line
That sucks. Did you get your carrier change your number for you?
Good luck.
You should stop deleting the messages; keep them as evidence.
It could have been posted by a jilted ex. or a very determined stalker, the auto messengers could get it but I don't believe they would leave that type of message.
They are bots, someone put ur number out there.
Only robots are gonna start a conversation off like that.
Probably dating site bots, check your email as well
But that's pretty creepy and scary
Sounds like the guy is using google voice to change his number or get new ones. Do the convos seem similar like they are coming from the same person? I wouldn't be hard for law enforecment to catch him.
Change your number... I would have done so already and been cautious who I give it to
Process of elimination. Figure out who would give it out
To you're update. Someone is angry at you or you gave your number to a site that released it.
Well someone you knew might have done it just to get revenge for you not texting them or someone just might be mad at ya I don't know but I dont do that to people its pointless so I hope u find the one who did it and also why u not texting me back
You can ask them to meet you somewhere then call the cops on them
Changing your number will keep you safe temporarily.
Reporting the matter would be wise.
Do it ASAP.
Make sure when you change you number to set your number to private caller, or they can see your number.
If it keeps happening you should change you number.
Change your number, if it continues go to your local pd the pigs got a cyber squad
You probably had to input you phone number and other info on some website and a hacker got it. I had that happen on a throwaway email that I had.
Do you have an ex boyfriend recently? Or ex friend?
I'd say he's the #1 suspect.
First off I think you should change your number and then go from there
Change your number and notify the police
Generally when people had job like law, army, police and something like that, they can easily find your details.
Man you Changed your big titty pic. I should have took a picture of it
Wow as in you take it as a compliment?
Ask whomever it is to send u a pic.. if u think they are cute and u secretly like it... persue it
And oh yeah they have an app on the phone that you probably already know about that look up an image anywhere in the world so what you do is you get this guy to send you a picture and you download that picture onto the app and then you go find this motherfucker and beat his brains you know I'm just joking anyway go find him and do what you do what you feel comfortable with if you feel comfortable calling the police by all means call them
Contact your carrier and change your number
Thats illegal. Please find and report them.
Yes it is frightening
talk to your service provider AT&T.
U need to inform to cyber crime for investigation
How about getting a new one?
Change your number!!
Just block
Witness to them
