What's the cheapest state to move to?

Everyone I know is moving or plans to move to Florida and here is why;
This state has no income tax, which is very attractive, especially for young families.
The cost of housing in Florida is much lower compared to the rest of the country.
The cost of living in Florida is lower compared to other states.
Florida has several world famous beaches and outdoor attractions.
It doesn’t snow in winter and it’s mostly warm year round.
Local residents receive discounts to some popular local attractions.
A growing number of retirement communities are found in Florida.
The average amount of daylight is about 2 hours more than the rest of the country.
The housing market is booming with high paying jobs.
But if you are young and want to tough it out in Nebraska, go work the oil fields. A lot of people are getting rich there I'm told.
Without doing any research and just from what I know about economy and realestate I would guess that's Mississippi would be one of the cheapest. I wouldn't be shocked if places like Iowa also were super cheap I used to live in one of the most expensive States and now I live in 1 of the bottom 10 States that being said it's certainly not the cheapest but I weighed many options such as being close to family
Almost any southeast or south-central red state will be cheap as far as taxes go, housing in rural areas is often less than cities because there's few/no jobs, so people can't really live there and support themselves. However there's usually less services in those 'cheap' areas to go along with the lower costs.
Dont expect to find consistently good roads and schools if there's no tax base. Or if the income taxes are low, the property and sales taxes are often higher. Its like one of those triangle problems where the optimal equilateral triangle is an impossibility.
I think it’s New Mexico, but generally, the cheaper it is the worst it is.

Not in Illinois where I'm from that's for sure :) people are moving away :)
The deep South like in Mississippi or Tennessee. But I wouldn't move there. I want to move to Austin Texas later on. Arizona is also a good and cheap state.
Southern Texas (plagued by low literacy rates) around Brownsville or McAllen. Also Oklahoma.
This one
Mississippi or Tennessee. Hate both of them, as well as majority of the South.
To move to? Not sure. But a pretty good state to live in is Texas.
Texas is going down though, in 2 decades it will be California 2.0.
@Testaccount65754 i couldn't see that. Our state is actually quite independent from the rest of the states in trade, power and resources.
In 2 decades it won't be your state, it will belongs to the Mexicans and Californians then.
@Testaccount65754 i am Mexican American descent. So you are saying it will be returned to where it belongs? 😅
If you mean a shithole, yes.
The deep south, but the Deep South is a really shitty place to live in general
Tennessee, Georgia , Alabama, Florida are all pretty decent
I don't know I know Arizona is expensive as hell though
I live in South Carolina. I have no idea which is cheapest.
I hear Georgia a family of 4 house is cheaper compared to the house here in PA.
I like Idaho coz sales tax is 6%
That's barely lower than Massachusetts.
Bew Hampshire has zero but New Hampshire attempts to compensate with sky high property taxes.
It doesn't work and New Hampshire's school system is the worst in New England as a result
North Carolina, Virginia or Georgia
Mississippi or Kansas
Texas or Montana I think
Probably North Dakota.
Probably somewhere in the Deep South
Scratch NY off that list
Romania
texas
Oklahoma
