In South-Africa, the law for appropriating Land without compensation (blacks legally stealing all the property of whites) has just passed. We live with the very real prospect of being murdered every day and now added to that the huge possibility that the black government would take all that we built through blood, sweat and tears.

If we live, we'll rebuild from scratch, that's just the kind of people we are.

If I lost my only family member too, I'd probably take the chance to try and kill myself.
Otherwise, I guess I'd try to get some random job instead of studying, at the cost of lowering my future expectations to nearly 0. Gotta bring the bread home after all

Fall apart. Not proud of it, but it's a guaranteed outcome. The things I own bring joy and comfort. I'm very discerning, it took me a long time to choose and purchase these things, so hell ya I want them. I buy for permanence.

Find sources of water, food, shelter and clothing. In that condition, I would not hesitate to steal what I needed and do things on the sly to survive. Then I'd try to find a source of income so I could go-legit.
