Why is fortnite hated now?

I honestly dont understand. When the game dropped, everyone on their moms was so addicted, calling it the best game. Now its getting as much hate as tik tok. I mean i never really liked the game at all but its insane how people shifted so hard

It was only liked when it could be seen as different and anyone could play it for free. Nothing about it was ever actually special.

The reality is that the video game industry is a flaming dumpster fire right now and people are just tired of the same old crap and good games being destroyed by out of touch developers and over-monetization.

One of the titles that my 9yo. daughter plays, but she finds Overwatch better.
Personally have no clue what happens in those games, I just pay for premium accounts for the sake I have few hours silence in house when she visits me. I'm a bad sunshine daddy. lol

As a 17-year-old girl I will say I don't hate fornite— in fact I believe its a great game and I really enjoy its 'story line', graphics, and the rhythm of the game. I mean like sometimes it's not the best but everything can improve in some way.

I think the younger kids and sweats killed the game.

I haven't noticed a change in how much people hate it recently.
It's just a game thats either loved or hated.
I guess many "older" don't like it because many people playing it are just kids.
I don't like it, because i don't like the whole battle royal genre.
