On being tall: finding clothes that fit (especially tall and thinner with long torso. Most cars, furniture, sinks, work benches, stairs, and exercise equipment don't fit properly. Treadmills or ellipticals: pretty much no point. Stairs are terrible: only half my foot fits on most of them, so slipping is more common. Walk up them on my toes, walk down on my heels, or go sideways.
Beds being too short is no fun. My feet always hang off.
Having to constantly bend over and stoop is annoying. Also, forever being asked to grab things on higher shelves, banging one's head on doorways or ceilings in short rooms, especially on an airplane or bus, is pretty annoying. Back problems and knee pain from the chronic bending over and crouching. Food service jobs were terrible. Imagine the work table being a couple inches above your knees, and just work like that for 10-12 hours.
The world is not built for tall people.

Literally the only disadvantage of being short (as a man) is in dating. Since the expectation is for the man to be taller than the woman, a man's dating pool is limited to only women shorter than himself, and the shorter he is, the smaller his pool is--not to mention that there are a lot of shallow women who are very short themselves, but won't tolerate anything less than a massive height difference to the point she looks like his daughter.
However, being short is advantageous in just about any other way:
- reduced risk of cancer
- longer life expectancy generally
- less prone to blood clotting
- less prone to injury
- less prone to back pain
- much easier to build muscle mass (the same given amount of muscle mass goes a longer way on a smaller stature)
I love being short and I am 5 ^ 1 tall but some of the worst things that have happened to me is trying to reach for things on the top shelves in stores and not being able to do so without standing on a lower shelf to get what I want on the top shelf ! also , I buy clothes that I like and are wide enough to fit me nicely but usually I have to cut them so I will not trip on them going up and down the steps in my two story house ! Thanks
Not being able to reach in the bottom of a top loader washing machine, or the back of wall mounted cupboards.
In crowds you can’t see where you’re going and being at the height of people’s armpits suck

I imagine the gas attacks are the worst thing about being short. As for tall people having to duck all the time would tick me off to no end.
They got tiny little fingers and tiny little toes!
You will fit no where.
No matter what your feet will hang off your bed no matter the position, even if sleeping diagonally. Showers are tricky, since sometimes the shower head is too low like at hotels. Airplanes have no leg room and for someone that has very long legs that is a pain. In cars leg room can be hell, but at the same time it depends on who's in the car. Like I will get shotgun majority of the time, but if not some reason if a woman is sitting in front of me or a not very big guy, then they will ask me how much leg room I need.
Finding a pair of jeans is hell and especially when you're tall and skinny. To give you an idea of my pants size my waist is a 30, yet the length for my pants is a 38. I cannot go inside shops to try on clothes, since the longest length in pants for men in those stores are a 34.Being passed up simply because of the stereotype that short people have "little people syndrome", and a range of other stereotypes, including that all short people (male and female) are "feisty."
As far as males go:
the maltreatment we get sometimes if we express interest in a potential partner simply because we're short.
And last but not least, the most Infuriating thing is being told that shortness isn't seen as masculine because men need to be "tall and dominating" (yes someone actually told me that once, she was an old friend of mine and I left her in the proverbial gutter after that).5’5 and proud. Being short hasn’t had any effect on my life. I’ve been a manager at two jobs, bought my own car, got my own place, soon to graduate as a journalist and start my career. And women? Ha. I’ve dated all sorts of women. Short and tall. I’m not sure if it’s different when you’re tall but in my experience, you make your own magic. All you need is confidence and drive.
The worst thing about being short? Not a damn thing. The worst thing about being tall is hitting your head in stuff. Especially true during the time you actually sprout and haven't gotten used to the length, also finding clothes that fit. But the great thing is that you can see over the crowds and locate things and people.
I'm decently tall and my answer is busses with stairs on the exit door, like why? Do u want me to hit my head and just awkwardly walk away like nothing happened 😂 or some busses just not having enough leg space so your knees rest on the metal cover of the ones before u, this isn't fun within 20sec and really hurts after a minute. Also your the "can u grab that?" guy but like everything in life, pro's and cons. So it's fine
I'm 6' 3" which isn't that tall. But I remember when I grew like 4 - 5 inches in one year during my puberty growth spurt I hit my head on things a lot. (Lol.) I wasn't yet used to being taller. And then to this day there are still people who -- when I first meet them -- will say as their first words to me "You're tall!" That gets old. I would never say to a height-challenged person when I first meet them "You're short!"
Dating. If you're a short guy your options are limited. I'd like to think tall women have it equally as bad, but who wouldn't want to date a model. That's not to say that tall women have it easy though. Also anytime you get upset, people accuse you having a complex.
A very tall friend (6' 11") told me that the worst thing about being tall is that people do not clean the top of tall furniture, so he sees a lot of pretty scummy stuff.
The only downside of being short (for a guy) is that it greatly reduces the range of potential partners.Being too tall for most beds is a pain in the ass. When I was in the hospital, my feet were hanging off the end of those tiny beds. I spent the night with a girl who had a full size bed and even it was a little too short lol. I can't even lay on couches lol
The worst thing about being short a that no one thinks you can fuck someone’s shit up.
The best part about being short is that no one thinks you’re gonna fuck their shit up.❕According to my country these guys are way to crazy.
Since most guys be like hey, Datig a short girl I not easy.
Because they think they are too quarrelsome and good in heated arguments. So that is what they say.
Personally I see nothing bad shot people since they are like the rest.I’m short (5’3.5”) and as an added benefit (lol) I look very young. So I get mistaken for a teenager a lot.
short is different from petite. Petite is having a smaller frame. Short is just smaller height not body. in my opinion
I'm not bothered to look up at people lolAll forms of mass transportation are made for short people. Many cars are also made for short people. Most beds are made for short people. Stuff like that.
Sometimes it’s really hard to keep up with tall friends. When y’all go out on a walk you either have to do some jogging or they have to slow it down. Or they could just carry you lol
The worst thing about being a tall girl is that when all your friends are shorter than you, you just feel awkward and like you dont feel as close? If that makes sense
Trying to reach for something in public. Especially when you're wearing a crop top om a hot day. Everyone seeing your sweaty pits and tummy hanging out
being armpit height in summer on public transport with standing room only. i have been nauseated! the air seems thicker down here 😂
