When I was in high school a guy accused me of stealing his headphones because we had the same iPhone EarPods and his went missing. He said his EarPods were in his bag during a wrestling match and I just happened to be sitting by the teams stuff because I went to support my friend who was also on the team. My ex at that time was also on the wrestling team and he was kind of a mess. We had only just broken up and he had just taken my virginity and apparently he couldn’t keep his mouth shut about it. So the guy started a rumor that my ex had given me AIDS. But I didn’t care for two reasons. Apparently my boyfriend at that time told the wrestling team I had amazing pussy, and so most of the guys on the wrestling team started approaching me for sex. It was exhausting constant rejecting them, but the AIDS rumor finally kept them at bay. And secondly, I didn’t get why everyone was judging me. If it was true that my ex gave me AIDS then shouldn’t we be judging him since he was the one spreading an infectious disease? I got tested to be safe, and it turns out I don’t have AIDS, but I didn’t make an effort to stop the rumors because I simply did not care.
