Basically, lets just say you were offered a house that's dirt cheap and easily fits within your budget, without really putting a dent in there.
The house is nice and fit's your standards, but it's deemed as haunted.Just a random picture of a haunted house from Google, lol.Some past residents have died in the house, under somewhat unusual circumstances and the survivors have claimed to have seen unusual things e. g. strange figures, noises/screams at night, things moving around on their own, etc.
Would that put you off from buying the house or would you take the chance and move there?
You could always move out if you didn't feel comfortable, but would the history put you off from moving in?
This question is inspired by some videos I've watched, titled along the lines of '10 houses nobody wants to buy for any price' ?
Personally, I'd be put off to the point where I wouldn't buy it. I'm not too sure about the whole paranormal thing, but the history would definitely put me off.
In Japan, you can get an apartment called “事故物件“ which is read as Jikko Buken, but basically something terrible has happened in the apartment, whether it was a place where deaths took place, or the gangs did business, they are dirt cheap. But many Japanese are superstitious so they don’t stay there, most of the residents are foreign people. I’ve been looking for one to move in... it’s so cheap...
I have lived in one. It was haunted way before the ouija board and worse after. I couldn't wait to move out. I have wanted to go talk to the new owners. Only asking one question. Have you ever noticed anything odd in the house? I would tell them that I used to live there.
If you say so, but I'm kind of in the dark about all that stuff, because I simply don't know. I'm sure believer and non-believers could both put up decent sounding arguments either way, at least to me.
How about imaginary friends instead of imaginary creatures? Think of all the money you could make selling tickets or renting your haunted house out for the day.
