I was visiting a client in her house, she had a little girl and boy. That day I was wearing a long skirt, lanyard with keys around my neck and had my hair up. I was there to help their mother who was having issues with a violent ex-partner, but veered off to talk to the kids who were listening, scared and I gave them advice about how to handle it. Not something i normally would do, but felt like I had to.

During the course of visit, the little girl disappeared into her room and came out with her hair up like mine, wearing a long skirt and with a lanyard around her neck. She looked so happy and sat next to me.
Although she didn't say anything, I took that as a huge compliment that after knowing her less than an hour, she wanted to be like me because of what I said :)

I'm in alaska, so for most tourists its cold to them during the summer. I was wearing a dress and it was about 50°F and an older lady was talking to her son? I like when it when people compliment me on my personality. Not a lot of people do, they usually compliment me on my looks. Its very rare anyone takes notice of me but id have to say it was when my family said that I get my witty side from my late grandma. My grandma was a great lady and she had a wicked sense of humour. The best was when I was walking through midtown NYC when a gorgeous girl asked me for directions. She was really pretty, and guys were actually going up to her to try helping her, but she said that she came up to me because I seemed the most genuine.
