Oh, women and it isn't even a contest.

I see a lot of comments about how could we survive and they take it down to the most primitive level as if women weren't already gatherers back then. They act as if we don't enjoy being out in wilderness and have no idea how things work in a man's domain.

I think I saw someone mention the lawn being mowed somewhere. Uh that was a normal chore for me growing up with my dad. My wife worked on building cars from the frame up with her step father. I am seeing a lot of skills that are learned being brought up, but that is the thing, they can be learned. Someone else mentioned periods I think. Women handled that too and have found makeshift solutions when forced to before.

What this comes down to is factors such as things such as who can create a home and comforts of living easier. Women, we have been doing it for thousands of years while men went out and hunted and protected. Thing is we have a great equalizer in that department so we are covered there. Men rarely delve into building a home.

Next would be the hormonal drive. Im willing to bet women can go a LOT longer without sex if needed. Both can get themselves off, but incels wouldn't be a thing in our society if it wasn't more pressing to guys.

There are other things that come into play here but so far I haven't seen a compelling argument from the guy pov that doesn't involve easily learned traits.

Men nowadays live in their parents’ basement at 30 years old, yet complain about how they have it so bad. That’s a massive turn-off for women.

I see so many women of all ages constantly struggle to reach the independence they desire so much. Women working two jobs just to make ends meet. Women juggling raising kids and going back to school to finish their degrees so they can better their situation.

Men are supposed to be programmed to be self-sufficient yet recent studies would suggest otherwise.

More important to me is the matter of whether he's doing something with his life.

Is he going to school, working hard and saving money, or taking care of aging parents with health problems?

Is he an unemployed or semi-employed basement dweller that spends the little money he has (or money he doesn't have) on parties, drinking, fast food, or other frivolous pursuits?

Mind you, if you are content living with your parents doing nothing with your life, that's fine by me -- it just means you're not the type of person I care to spend time with.

Well… most men would have very little without women, and the human race would go extinct in one generation. Men. But this is easy because we're generally wired this way. Women are human beings and Men are human doings when it comes to their utility in society. So, it forces men to take on and sustain roles that make us more self-sufficient.

And our general temperaments help with that as well. Being more disagreeable and geared towards objects more than people. Which makes us more competitive and more likely to build things.

Whereas a woman nowadays might take on a role that's self-sufficient, but she'll generally also be trying to get with a man so she can have & raise offspring. And female temperaments help with that as well. Making them more agreeable and people-oriented. Which is good for that goal.

So, there are good reasons why both sexes act this way. And if any sex had a significantly lowered or no sexual drive, the species would struggle, nonetheless.

^ The question is "which is more" not "who could be more." And I said women take on roles of self-sufficiency because in modern-day, women can work as well. I wanted to make that clear for the asker because it seems that he doesn't think women can be easily self-sufficient. But the fact that more women become dependent on men to be the sole providers in a home is why I chose men. And I want to make it clear that there's nothing wrong with that. I don't have any emotions tied to this. I chose it because it's the truth based on data. Both can be. But in this case, men do it more often.

^ If a man is at the low end of the dominance hierarchy, he has little to no value to society unless he can be extrinsically competent at something. That's why I said men are human doings. But for women, that's not always the case, even though it can be sometimes. Women's value is generally seen as intrinsic. For example, it's not uncommon to see a man go for a woman that is lower in the dominance hierarchy, but it's very uncommon to see it go the other way around. (it's for good reason though, still not complaining) And I tie sexuality into this because attraction is always involved in social interactions. And we form our structures based on those social interactions. A woman can use her femininity to woo men and boost herself up in the female dominance hierarchy much more easily than a guy can with his competency in the male one. Aka, they're seen more like a human being. It's meant to be a play on words and not taken literally.

And trust me, I understand the value of both sexes. It's why I added the last bit about there being good reasons for why both sexes act the way they/we do. So there's no dismissing here. I give credit where credit is due.

Women. Maybe I'm biased but when when I think about quality of life, I think about women making a house a home, even if she's can't afford more than a shack.

Single men have 'bachelor' stereotypes because they often don't take care of themselves the way single women do. Modern men don't hunt any more than go to the grocery store and stock up on crackers, beer, and pepperoni.

More Women at any age have a stocked fridge, even if she's shopping in the reduced price section. Women can be 'making it' or scraping by, but when she has guests over, she'll have a spare towel for them and has an extra blanket and asks if they want a cup of tea.

Also if we are extending self sufficiency as being able to support others, hell of a lot more women raise children alone, take care of aging parents alone, and deal with the fallout of druggie and mentally ill relatives.

Any woman can earn a paycheck. And yeah maybe not as many women change their own tires, but not as many men cook or clean for themselves regularly either. I know very few men who will clean a toilet bowl once a week. You change a tire like once or twice a year. You cook every frigging day. If you live in a city, no body can afford a yard regardless of gender.

- Emotional. They already have friends who they are very close to and overshare every little detail. Society in general cares more about women's problems than men's problems. Why would they need a man to help emotionally? They don't.

- Protection. This was relevant back in cavemen days. Not today, in a modern society, with laws which favour women and weapons which negate physical strength. They don't need the physical protection of a man anymore.

- Financial. Women earn their own money now, often pretty decent money as well. More women are graduating from college than men. If worst comes to worst and they can't get a job to make ends meet, they can get simps online to donate to them. There's so many different ways of making money as a woman, why would you need to attach yourself to a man you don't like just for his money? You don't.

- Sex. If a woman wants sex, she can just order it directly to her door using any number of dating apps. Even if she's somewhat picky, she can have an endless stream of sex and never need any one particular man in her life who gives her it.

- Raise a family. Well so many women are single mothers by choice these days, it seems like many of them don't feel like they need a man in their life for this. Government provides assistance where necessary.

So yes, they do momentarily need a man for some of their needs. If they want heterosexual sex, they need a man in that moment. If they want a family, they need a man to provide some of his seed. They also might need men collectively for some things (eg. simps donating to them).

But as for needing one particular man in their life, there doesn't appear to be any need for that.

So really through lack of learning, effort or application we both rely on each other. You have not mentioned anything which is an innate quality of being male. I think as men we are often forced to be more self sufficient.
