+1 yLiterally, that looks easy to me.
Anyone can bust ass for weeks on end without the basic necessities a human needs to live. She gets a first class plane ticket, a comfy hotel room, falls down and gets up again?
I crashed a 500 pound motorcycle, picked it back up, got to the vet, got the asthma medicine, got back home, made an appointment at a different vet because it was after hours, found a ride. And THEN three hours after the crash, I realized my collar bone was broken.
Try lifting 500 pounds with a broken arm, riding home on the thing and being so worried about someone else you don't even know your arm is broken.
"Fell down and got back up again"
You don't know what difficult is. 🤦🏼♂️
Only a real brain dead bitch could report someone who's life is actually the
Kicking them in the dirt for trying to get help and then go on to act like Olympic Athletes are against all the odds.
Spoiler alert, you don't get to the Olympics by having a hard life. You get there by eating three meals a day and having time to play your favorite sport. But if you have it easy and you're lazy, being a famous athlete probably seems like a hard life.
Meanwhile, little girls in Ethiopia watch their dads get dragged out in the street, shot with Ak's, eaten by actual hyenas, and have to figure out how to survive alone in that desert without anyone strong enough to fight.
I imagine most of them starved, but you probably don't bother to watch any news that isn't just virtue signaling.
By the way, I inboxed you how I really feel about it. Cus there are kids on here.01 Reply- +1 y
Also, I have to say it,
If they were running all out that wouldn't be possible. Or she would have been way ahead to begin with.
Just shows you what people can do when they really have a reason compared to what people on the couch think is impressive.
It's just entertainment. You wanna see someone run fast? Go to Africa where being first means nothing and the hyenas aren't even their biggest fear.
I'd buy a one way ticket if I could.
I'm not impressed by a professional runner falling down and getting back up again. 🤷🏼♂️
+1 yI normally would have said "How's Charm School Grace?" but instead I'll say that it was unbelievable! I bet it surprised the other three and herself too.

That was Greeeaaaatt! 11 Reply- +1 y
They were all shocked. And she apologized to the girl who tripped over her because it did slow her down.
844 opinions shared on Other topic. I have never fallen, during a race, but have raced as an amateur at 100 meters and that is stressful enough as it is. The start always left me about to pee my pants, and I was away off the pace. the guy that beat me ran 11 seconds flat, and that is smokin' for an amateur, but to fall and get back up and win anyway is SUPER HUMAN !

I know. She is truly an inspiration.
+1 yI'm not interested in Oympics or athletics at all. I see video, I sigh.
But I haven't felt that fuckin' tense since Hawkeye and Black Widow fought over who was gonna kill themselves to get the Soul Stone.17 Reply- +1 y
She fell on her face during a sprint and got back up an won. Don’t have to be into sports to appreciate that.

True.

Honestly my biggest inspiration for trying to hold onto the seemingly ridiculous idea that things can get better even when life is completely ruined since the pandemic began has been learning Hoyt Van Hoytema's story.
One of the world's greatest cinematographers grew up without a fucking clue what to do and being called a loser his whole childhood and not noticed and was unemployed for years when direction suddenly fell into his lap at 27 and then he eventually shot some of the world's greatest films (Casino Royale, Skyfall, Spectre, Dunkirk) special mention goes to the 6-minute opening tracking shot of Bond at the beginning of Spectre which is nothing short of fucking impressive. It goes all along a street through a crowd, inside a building through the door entering behind Bond, all the way up to the floor he's staying on, out the window with him and then follows him as he crosses rooftops to get to the next building and doesn't cut until Bond fixes the laser sight. - +1 y
A true rags to riches story is always inspiring.

I'm also a big fan of Awkwafina not because I love her songs (I hate rap and hip hop) but because she was 25 and broke living in a three-bedroom apartment with her dad, grandmother and brother when her first song suddenly took off online and skyrocketed. She was fired from her job at a New York Publishing House, which she had just landed not long beforehand specifically because the music video went viral.
Currently she's set to co-star in Shang-Chi.
Also Chris Pratt wanted to be famous as a kid... failed all of his first auditions in his early 20s and had to move to Florida and live out of his van and wait tables.
Now he's Star-Lord. - +1 y
I actually liked him better in Jurassic World though.
Chris Evans is my main man because he portrayed the greatest superhero ever and my comic idol as a boy but yet he can also play the "cocky bad-boy" kinda role to a T. But PERFECT as boy scout Captain America.
Evans was also homeless prior to becoming a household name with Cellular back in 2005. And he recently opened up this past year that he took therapy after landing Captain America because he couldn't handle the pressure.
Also Charlie Hunnam (Jax from Sons of Anarchy) was broke and about to sell his house in the UK (which he purchased as a crappy fixer-upper, it had holes in the roof) and shared how he actually stole food off a nearby street shop a few times when he was 23-25 during the filming of Cold Mountain.
Then he sold the script to Vlad, auditioned for the role of Jax and the rest is history.
Lastly, Travis Fimmel aka Ragnar Lothbrook, was broke and jobless at 24 when he was strolling along in Melbourne near his gym and ended up getting an offer for modelling.
He nailed the immediate interview and they flew him to LA after telling him to pack some of his stuff which, for him, was supposedly one gym bag.
He showed up to his audition barefoot and completely broke and apparently hadn't been able to shower either and yet still became the first man in history to sign a 6-figure Calvin Klein deal and the last man that Klein personally accepted on. - +1 y

I bet it scared the shit out of him & seriously I bet his underwear was brown after that one.

@Bricealan I didn’t know that or know how fast they run & all I can say is that the guy is lucky he can pick up speed down hill & if he hits a patch of ice he’s fucked.
- +1 y
That would be a terrifying thing to happen. Here in California, we have had mountain bikers be attacked by a mountain lion, and I can't even imagine the horror of that. I believe the fallen biker survived the attack by keeping the bicycle between him and the mountain lion, and since it is aluminum it might save you from being killed but I bet he had some serious claw injuries.
- +1 y
As funny as it is, what fucking location is this where a brown bear is still outside during snowfall?
- +1 y
@InventorofWarp I don't know what time periods that bears hibernate?
- +1 y
@Bricealan If there's snow on the ground and you're seeing a bear that isn't white then there's definitely a problem somewhere.

1:07 is the trip. I'm not really that impressed, though. One could argue she had time to catch her breath and spent the last few minutes power-sprinting, while the other girls were getting tired. But I'm not here to be a Debbie Downer and I'm sure someone out there was inspired by this.

to me, that's just ridiculous. if she can fall and then just win, then really, what the heck was she even doing before falling? like not even trying? XD one would think that professional athletes are at their performance maximum already. and not just have vast ressources left that they can use to just fix such a blunder :D
- +1 y
I think she got a crazy burst of adrenaline. Like how people can lift cars off of other people to save their lives. Pure adrenaline

Im the professional realm, that is "normally" already used by psychological training.

A video like this can probably make people question their assumptions as well. I wonder how many thought she was lazy or incompetent because she had fallen, only to see her do that!
- +1 y
I wonder that too. Adrenaline can do amazing things and she got a big burst of it. And her memory of the fall was a slight trip. She was shocked to see she had landed on her face.
- +1 y
True! Wouldn't be surprised if she injured her legs from that but didn't know until afterward
