You sound like me , considering I been there and done it , now I have no desire to do so again what so ever , I am probably talking out my ass, but it’s definitely not something on my top priority list , so for it to even be thought about , it would come down to meeting a girl that can prove to me that she is going to be loving and faithful to me so it would definitely take a long time, but even so , I keep thinking what would be the point of it. I never understood people that got married ver and over again , when I hear someone is on there second or 3rd or 4th marriage I think what the fuck are
You smoking , When I got married my intentions were to stayed married until the end , I didn’t get married to move on to the next. I am sorry I am babbling on lol But yes again I am with you10 Reply

+1 yI'll never get into a relationship I have mixed feelings about again. I was young and dumb. Huge mistake.
If nothing changes from the way it is now, I may never even get into another relationship at all. It isn't that I'm bitter or jaded, I have just found that I prefer being alone. However, I have learned to never say "never" in life and that things can definitely change in ways you'd never expect. I just don't see it happening anytime soon.20 Reply
Anonymous(25-29)+1 yI will never again take advice from idiots for the sake of being more agreeable. I have been incorrect due to other people's advice too many times for my liking when my own logic prevailed, so I'd rather not listen to them and listen to myself and accept that when I'm wrong, it's due to my own inadequacy. I will end up being wrong less.

Anon, this is the second unrelated question I've seen you post something similar to this on, and I remember your question about this. Are you still going on about this? I am really not trying to come off rude or like I'm minimizing your feelings, but really, this should not affect your life to the extent you've allowed it to. If it helps any, no one else at all cares what age you began dating or lost your virginity besides you, and you're only wasting valuable time and energy by worrying about this. Not to mention that there is nothing to resent or be jealous of about people who date or lose their virginity at an earlier age, because not only is the age you do those things at irrelevant, but sometimes these things also end in regret and don't work out for these people. Everyone experiences things at different times and that is 100% okay.
Opinion Owner+1 yI just know I will forever be bitter and resentful, jealous of people who got to experience having a long-term relationship before I did, because unfortunately the sad fact about life is that we can't go back in time, that's how it's always been and always will be.
Another reminder of my lifelong resentment of how guys always are expected to make the first move and court women, it has always been the number one thing I've hated about having a penis- +1 y
You're correct that there's nothing that can be done about the past, which is why it's a waste of time and energy to dwell on it. I also mean it 100% when I say having been in a relationship or been intimate at an earlier age means absolutely nothing. There is no point feeling bitter and resentful about it. Really young relationships, especially teenage/high school ones, are normally just practice relationships anyway and are nothing like in the movies.
Opinion Owner+1 y@aWes0MeNeSs yeah well it's easy to forever be depressed about that because it makes you feel like you didn't grow up having a normal youth
- +1 y
There's nothing abnormal about having not had sex or a relationship in your teens or early 20's. There are more people than you think who haven't/didn't (just look at the abundance of questions on this site and others about whether or not this is normal), and it didn't affect the rest of their lives. Honestly, the high school/college ages are possibly the worst and most overrated anyway, and I don't get why so many people act as if those are the best years of a person's life, or the years that really count. Everyone I know who seemed to have it made during those years is struggling as an adult, and I'd personally much rather have struggled through my adolescence (which I did, big time) yet now have a great and successful adulthood, than the other way around. I find it a bit sad when adults several years out of high school can't talk about anything but their high school "glory days" and still mentally live in the past instead of enjoying the life they have now.
Also, the media's interpretation of what a "normal youth" is like is not realistic, since many of the people who write movies and TV shows know nothing about life outside of Hollywood, so don't get caught up in what the media portrays. It's easy for teen movies to make people feel like their teenage years were wasted, but the reality is that those movies are not what being a teenager is really like. In fact, they are extremely glorified and don't touch much on how awkward, embarrassing, and frustrating those years really are. (Cont'd.) - +1 y
(Cont'd.) I can pretty much tell you that I didn't have a "normal" youth in a lot of ways. I was an overweight and socially awkward teen who was made fun of a lot, was the subject of many cruel pranks, and spent most of my spare time holed up in my bedroom by myself instead of out socializing and doing "teen stuff". I was not popular, nor considered attractive. However, that was then and this is now, and to be honest, none of that stuff matters anymore. I've come a long way since then and have created a great life for myself as an adult. High school and what little college I attended were a joke, and just a blip on the radar of my life. The point being, your past does not define you and you have full control of your present and future, so do what you can to make it the best you can rather than dwelling on the past, which cannot be changed. Also, the teen years are a very insignificant part of a person's life and definitely no indicator of what their adulthood will be like.
Also, if you're between 30-35, you're still young and have a lot left to enjoy, so wasting time you could be spending on enjoying and bettering your life on worrying about the past will only make you have more regrets. Another thing is that comparison is the thief of joy, so try not to compare your life to others'. There will always be people who have it better and worse than you, but the only life you have control of is your own. Someone can have what you describe as a "normal youth" and have a horrible life, too, so having had that normal youth doesn't mean anything, and nothing that happened in high school or college matters once you're out, and definitely is not a part of your identity unless you make it one.
I would never get married again, I would live with a woman, but it just seems like a marriage license kills the marriage…
