I am talking more about people who are 6'2+ tall.
Are falls more dangerous for tall people?

Trending & News So many variables- so little time. No 100% answer to this one.
Height. Assumption- injury to head only?
Leverage. Arms and legs act as levers, taller people have longer levers. But leverage can work wither way, and- biomechanically- our arms/shoulders sacrifice a lot of leverage to gain mobility and range of motion.
Mass. Add another dimension. The size vs. mass equation can fall apart, though. Look at an HO model train (1:87 ratio) . A modestly sized real steam locomotive might run about 87 tons (just to keep the math easy) and be about 60 feet long. On the model then- keeping "to scale"- the length would be a bit over 8 inches, but the weight would be about a ton!
Size wouldn't inherently "require" that falls be more dangerous for the taller folks. But then there are places in our house that my wife (4'10") can navigate with no problem, while our son-in-law (6'4") would get a serious headache or two!
of course xD that's basic physics. if you build a bigger version of something with the exactly same materials it will inherently be less stable. that's a roach will withstand like 8000 times it's body weight and you will struggle with twice your weight already.
also very tall people are often not proportional. having more lengthy extremeties and torsos, causing all sorts of nasty lever actions when they fall, cracking bones more easily.
it happens xD
I think they are dangerous for all people. If it's a serious fall it might hurt your back and prevent you for walking.
If people know how to fall correctly, they are less likely to get hurt.
Thank you for mhg.

You are thinking that they are more likely to be hurt because they have further to fall and it will be a harder impact?
But they have more mass to absorb the impact.
ohhh noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...
I think falling as an adult is dangerously embarrassing. To answer your question I would say yes, dangerous.
Yes ofc. Falls are way less dangerous for children, they fall all the time. The heavier and taller you are the harder you fall, this is basic physics. However, you also have more time bfor you hit the ground, so more time to break your fall
No. Physics don't change much by a couple feet difference.
I suppose so.
depends on the age
