+1 ymy neighbours cat has a habit of waking me up by licking my nose.
Either it’s slept the night or doing an early morning visit and wakes me or anyone up for food.
it’s a toss up between a bum in the face or a tongued nose.31 Reply

& I absolutely adore animals.
They can lick anywhere else EXCEPT above the neck.
My roommates dogs used to try to sneak eating their own poop.
I know exactly where their tongues have been so absolutely not.11 Reply
+1 ySure, nothing like your dog licking your face right after licking his privates for 10 minutes.

Daisy and Karleigh never did this to me. Plus, dogs have enzymes in their mouth that kills that bacteria so it wouldn't be harmful to us anyway.

@Interstate I find that hard to believe since they also eat each other's shit.
- +1 y
My Girls never did that. They always squatted and walked around it.

@Interstate We had a male Westie and we were watching a friend's female Westie. Well he was eating her shit and she was actually rolling around in his. She was a complete mess so I had to wash her before they arrived to pick her up. I had never seen a female do that before.

It has been said dogs will do that because they like how it feels. Daisy used to try to do that manys-a-time, but Lisa and I always yelled at her for it.

+1 yFor the most part I let my parents dogs lick my face. That is how they show affection and I am not going to push them away and discourage them from it, but I have a limit as well. If they are invading the space too much then I will tell them "okay, that's enough," and gently push them off.
These dogs in particular are velcro ones.10 Reply
+1 yYes. I think part of the reason is that I think I'm immune to diseases so if a cobra licks my face or rabid raccoon licks my face or a feral cat licks my face, I figure I'm okay. I've licked some vaginas that seemed more dangerous than all of those. I think fundamentally it's because I don't really give a shit about dying but I want to see nice things along the way while I live. And some feral cat licking my face with poop breath still seems nicer than it is bad.

m +1 ynope... I don't let my cats lick me or my food and stuff...
I know well where they have been and what they've been doing, lol21 Reply 4.4K opinions shared on Other topic. When my dogs were puppies, yes. They're almost 10 years old now and they've licked and eaten a lot of the gross things over the years, so not so much anymore. 😂

+1 yNot at all, I can shower love to my pet by giving food and a good trip outside but sorry no licking at any cost,
They may carry deadly germs etc and other things like I have seen one incident where a pet dog was licking its genitals and suddenly when the owner came it licked and after that I could not eat because of the flashbacks I had of them.10 ReplyI let my fiancé kiss my face, and I've seen him do some pretty gross things too. (no ass licking though, blech!)
But yes, I've let my dog lick my face before.31 Reply- +1 y
But your dog licks its ass lmfao 😂
+1 yThey know I don’t like it so naturally take full advantage when I’m asleep.

Very!! The strange thing is, one night, I ended up staying at my cousin's house over night. The next morning their mom made bacon & eggs for everyone and, after we finished eating, she put all the dishes on the floor for the dog to lick off!! I went home and told my family about that at the dinner table and that same bitch was one of the first ones to become sickened by it and also said it was gross and sick!! Within a few weeks, she started doing the same thing!! She claims that a dogs tongue is cleaner than a humans'! Well, I don't know of any humans that lick their own asshole after they take a shit or drink from the toilet!!
I let them lick my forehead and cheeks for a second or two. It's just love/affection. My hold dog was more of a head nuzzler. He'd only lick my face to wake me up lol

+1 yNo, but sometimes I end up kissing them on the lips because I love them so much. Then I remember what they do as dogs sometimes and I’m like—yuck and immediately wash my mouth.

My cat's tongue is just a bit coarse but it also tickles a bit. But I get what you mean.
+1 yYes I did. That is their way of wanting to say that they loved me, and I would never have denied them of that.

+1 yI’m picky about smells and cleanliness so I would say no, I would only want a dog that does not like or kiss. One reason I prefer cats to dogs.
10 Reply I love cats & dogs; and I enjoy when they lick my face especially dogs like poppies and miniatures because it makes me love and they're very adorable.
