I poked my eye a bit before rubbing it is that bad or not?

I think you should be fine. I had a colleague once though who got a piece of glass stuck in his eye after a car crash, and he had to get the micro shard of glass carefully and surgically removed from deep into his lower eyelid after he rubbed his eyes and they became so blood red that he was losing vision in that eye. "BRRBRRR!" I keep shuddering thinking about that.

I've had to dig the teeniest pieces of glass out of my foot before. But having to dig those out of my eyeballs is on a whole new level. "BRRBRRRBRBRR!"

It might have moved a bit in your skull. Eyeballs can move around. They're not as secure in our heads as we think them to be. There are people in car accidents and their eyeballs pop out, and the medics can hold their eyeballs and they see what their dangling eyeballs can see. Then they bring them to the hospital and they have to carefully place the eyeballs back into the eye socket. But it's not a big problem at long as the optic nerve isn't damaged.

It doesn't really take that much force to pop out people's eyeballs. I think I could do it with two fingers and not even too much strength. People's eyeballs burst and pop out very easily and move around in their heads. Eyeballs are very fragile things

yeah, so it doesn't matter if it moved around?

I think it should be okay. I am no doctor but I'd wait until my eyes are changing color or there are chronic headaches or the one eye is bloodshot or something like that.
