But sometimes it’s more convenient to do it when I first wake up because that’s when I’m in the bathroom to use the toilet. That keeps me from having to make two trips into the bathroom.20 Reply

+1 yBefore breakfast definitely.
Sometimes, after breakfsst i do a quick brush without toothpaste. And if not that, I definitely rinse my mouth thorougly and try to wipe the teeth clean. I dont drink coffee so i dont have the issue of getting rid of that disgusting coffee breath.10 Reply
2.2K opinions shared on Other topic. Well your supposed to wait 30mins to 60mins after eating to brush said teeth. Now if you have to get to collage or work etc realistically you may not have that time to wait. So before is the best choice. Also to you may just forget after 30mins to an hour.

+1 yDepends, when I had a boyfriend, it was the first thing I did in the morning. But now I’m. Single, I brush after breakfast, otherwise not only does orange juice taste like crap, but if i brush b4 breakfast, I head out to school with my breakfast all over and in between my teeth!
20 ReplyBefore and after both. Before because it feels disgusting to eat without fresh mouth. Like after sleeping that weird feeling in mouth doesn't goes without brushing. It feels more fresh to brush and shower before breakfast. And I again brush after breakfast because it is gross to roam around with the smell of toast and milkshake you had in the morning.
10 ReplySometimes before and sometimes after. It depends on where I am at. If I am away from work, before. If I am at home, sometimes before. Sometimes I wait until hours after I awaken to eat breakfast. I usually drink a quarter of water before consuming solids in the morning, so brushing is usually preferred before.

+1 yI brush before breakfast and floss and swish some water in my mouth afterward. Since I'm not too fond of the feeling of food particles stuck in between my teeth and they are left there throughout the day.
10 Replyafter a meal. if you brush right before going to bed for example and didn't eat anything afterwards, there would be nothing to brush when you wake up the next day. that is why i think it's better to wait after breakfast.

+1 yI do it after but I've read that it's better for your teeth to do it before. Toothpaste creates a barrier so your breakfast can't do damage, something like that. But I don't like the toothpaste taste mixed with my breakfast.
10 ReplyBefore and after. It is mandatory for me. I can't taste the food properly if I don't wash them before and I also won't feel fresh if I don't wash them after

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yUsually after breakfast. When I hear my wife brushing her teeth with her electric toothbrush before she cooks breakfast, that always means she wants to get intimate early in the morning. I immediately jump out of bed to brush my teeth too so neither of us has bad morning breath.

I brush before eating anything, but I almost never eat breakfast, anyway. I end up waking up late a lot and barely getting to work on time.

+1 yBoth, you brush when you wake up and you brush again after you’ve ate.. That’s how you prevent cavities.

+1 yWell, what's the point of brushing before you've had breakfast, better to clean them after you eat, and get a overall cleaner mouth throughout the day, rather than getting food matter on them right off the bat.
