- My mom oils my hair everyday - My parents blame everything on my phone - My mom has a huge repository of oregano, chillin flakes and ketchup sachets for “emergencies”. God only knows what those emergencies are. - My parents never apologize to me. They just call me downstairs to eat food. - I have a shit ton of relatives, and whenever I go to weddings, people I’ve never met before tell me something along the lines of “Oh my, Tati, you’ve grown up a lot! Do you remember me? You were a baby when I last saw you.” … it doesn’t even make any sense 😃 - Food is spicy as fuck, but still amazing - Weddings Are ALWAYS big no matter how rich or poor you are. - My mom always manages to ruin my pretty dresses by making me wear a t-shirt or a turtleneck underneath even if it doesn’t show much skin.. and by skin, I mean my arms and shoulders - My mom’s bargaining skills are amazing.

My grandparents were invited into this country in the 60s. They say we were stolen and over the years the mix of people became one. (out of many we are one people) Peas go in our rice but its not green peas... they are actually beans lol. I'm mixed race. My hair is wavy and turns curly in humid weather. If I spend enough time in the sun, I turn a golden brown. I speak English, but my grandparents spoke multiple languages, even to me as a child. I love spicy food, but if it's too hot, I have to drink a pitcher of water. I have family all over the world!
