Alone. My brain is about as big as outer space and I need quiet... or I need to listen to some really heavy metal in a foreign language but so loud that no one else could tolerate (the mirrors of my truck need to vibrate, that's when I know it's loud enough).

I write books in my head. I do research for the characters and write notes on sticky pads and stuff them in my pocket. And my wife goes to throw away the crumpled up notes piling up on my nightstand and I say "Noooo!".
And then I have to justify why I've these nonsensical (to anyone else) notes piling up.
Little things that help us stay sane.

definitely alone, i can truly be myself alone since it's just me lol. being around other people is nice sometimes to feel more energetic, but at the same time you aren't entirely yourself around other people so being alone matters.

I love that kitty picture! Yeah in my case I like a balance, it's sometimes fun to have someone else around to share the experience, especially if it's a vacation or a road trip but it's also nice to have some alone time too, and not have a care in the world.
