Should I Send This To My Friend With Alopecia?

I'm An art student and the project I'm working on currently is all about drawing people. For this I need reference pictures, and I want to include some people who have unique/interesting features, for this reason I'm thinking of asking my friend who has alopecia. However, I'm not sure it's a good idea and am concerned it could come of as patronising or offensive.

Could you please give advice as to whether I should ask, and how to word the message?

Here's what I'm thinking of sending:

'Hi, I have a uni art project I'm doing that I need reference photos for and I wanted to use yours.
It's basically about drawing people, different facial features and portraits etc. I'd Wanna include some unique physical characteristics, such as alopecia, hence me thinking of you. Would you be cool with that?'

I would say "I would like to" rather than "I'd wanna".

do you talk about his alopecia being unique all of the time? how comfortable is he with being bald? it's not really that unique in the first place. i'd probably choose someone with a unibrow
