I follow a girl on insta. She appears single. She liked a couple of my posts. She went to my university + same course. I feel like causally DMing her on Instagram about how she found getting work in the city. Then get to know her and ask her out slowly for A meal. Don’t know if it’s a good or stupid embarrassing idea

Hmm, I don't know man, sliding into the DMs like that seems kinda sus. You don't really know this girl at all. Here's what I'd think about:

- It's one thing to DM a girl you've spoken to before, but a total stranger may find it weird or creepy.

- Starting with something so generic like "work in the city" comes across like you're just looking for an opener, not actually caring what she says.

- She might feel ambushed or put on the spot if right away you bring up meeting up, especially without even saying hi first.

- If she doesn't know you at all she could think it's a catfish or scam or something.

My advice would be either interact with her stories/posts more first so it doesn't seem that random. Or else slide in casual like "hey we went to same uni small world" and let a convo happen naturally first before asking to link.

Gotta play it cool man, don't come on too strong. Feel it out first before putting any real pressure on to meet. Let me know what you end up doing!
