When does one ask you if you have bad habbits, does it just mean just illegal drugs?

A relative asked me if I had bad habbits, I said alcohol.

He went on saying, he meant things like weed (illegal things).

I don't wanna be asked such a question by a relative. I went on saying, I smoked in the past.

Weed is a big deal where I live. If you smoked weed, you are a bad druggie but it is normalized to drink alcohol.

If someone were to say ‘bad habits’ there’s a few things that can come to mind. Usually it’s an sort of bad addiction type of thing or problem such as gambling issue, alcohol, drugs etc. But if someone asked me if I had any it could also refer to laziness, going after the wrong type of guys/girls or being late etc. These aren’t my bad habits by the way just examples to the question. Open to interpretation I guess
