What was the turning point in your life?

I was living in Miami, 19 & engaged to be married, life was great. I only had my own place for 1 year when I got a call from the hospital in the town I grew up in. They said they found my mom out of it wondering into on-coming traffic on the interstate.

I lost my fiancé when I told her I was moving back to take care of my mom. I don't blame her, just not what she had planned. My mom wasn't your average mom, can't read or write, not very smart, got taken advantage of by a lot of men in her life but was always very pretty, worked hard to provide for the three of us growing up.

Things were hard but we made it. She wouldn't last in a home a week. I had to have her committed until they found out what was wrong. I'm all she has, other 2 siblings never visit & everything's up to me. I been taking care of her since I was 19. Takes all my time & resources, makes serious dating VERY difficult.

Everyone always thinks it's that guy living in moms basement but she actually lives with me. I don't even bring woman home & they usually leave as a result because they think I'm hiding something by always bringing them over to a friends house. Problem is I could never bring them home or my mom would go ecstatic thinking of marriage & grand kids..

When I turned 18, realize I'd never fully physically grow, and that all my dreams, including a wife, would no longer be possible. Precocious Puberty really f*cked my life and aspirations up. At this point, my short ass literally has nothing to look forward to, anymore. I'm just along for the ride, for no reason.

Enlisting into the United States Marine Corps. It completely changed who I was but in a meaningful way.
