60fps is twice as fast so I would say there is a big difference.

960 fps is a lot faster but if you dont play it at slow motion, it is the same.

Okay- if you record at a slower speed there is less surface area of the tape to hold the signal. This will result in lower fidelity in your final signal. If you speed up the tape you get more surface area and the signal will improve. This is probably only true for analog recording.

I have used video tape a lot and there is definitely a difference. The faster speed is better. Your equipment may not be very good.
