Why do movies(hollywood films) look smooth to watch even at 23fps?

while when we try to record videos,anything less than 30fps gives videos which are not smooth to watch..

The standard is actually 24 fps, not 23.

Consumer cameras don't typically have the same quality as cameras used by filmmakers. Also, consumer cameras are more likely to be interlaced than progressive. I think you need a higher frame rate for interlaced video to look smoother, but I'm not an expert on cameras by any means (I studied film, but my area of interest was sound).

Probably other factors come into play than FPS if that's the case, maybe image quality etc... etc... I actually have no idea ^^

I don't understand his question. Because that's not Only Hollywood movies but all movies it's really lighting and how much the iris is opened.
